<h1>Amendments to Central Excise Notifications: Include Oleum, Add Chemicals, Modify Classification for Public Welfare.</h1> The Central Government has issued amendments to three Central Excise notifications under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, in the interest of public welfare. Notification No. 81/75 is amended to include 'oleum' alongside 'sulphuric acid.' Notification No. 43/88 is updated to add several chemicals, including Monomethyl acetoacetamide and Dimethylamine, among others. Notification No. 21/90 modifies the entry for S. No. 2 in the annexed table to read '2808.10 or 2809.00.' These amendments aim to update and clarify the existing excise duty exemptions and classifications.
