of <h1>Central Government Amends Notification to Exempt Three Pesticide Intermediates Under Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, has amended a previous notification (No. 43/88-Central Excises) from March 1, 1988, by adding new entries to the list of exempted items. The amendment includes the addition of three pesticide intermediates: Cumene, Parachloro-N-Isopropyl Aniline, and Methyl chloroformate, to the Annexure of the notification. This change, effective from March 1, 1992, is deemed necessary in the public interest.
