of <h1>Excise Duty on TV Picture Tubes Reduced: Rates Amended to Rs. 1250 and Rs. 1350 Per Tube Effective June 1992.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 121/89-C.E. regarding television picture tubes, effective from June 19, 1992. This amendment, made under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, alters the specified excise duty rates in the notification's table. The previous rates of 'Rs. 1500 per tube' and 'Rs. 1750 per tube' have been revised to 'Rs. 1250 per tube' and 'Rs. 1350 per tube,' respectively. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
