of <h1>Amendment to Excises and Salt Act: Exemption for Textured Yarn from Imported Non-Textured Filament Yarn Under Advance Licence</h1> The Central Government amended Notification No. 178/83-C.E. under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, through Notification No. 78/92-C.E. dated July 14, 1992. This amendment introduces an additional proviso to the existing notification, specifying that the exemption applies to textured yarn manufactured from non-textured filament yarn imported under an Advance Licence as per the Imports (Control) Order, 1955. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
