of <h1>Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication) Mumbai Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority Under Customs Act, 1962 for Show Cause Notice.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs appoints the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication), Mumbai, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the powers of the Customs Act, 1962, to handle matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others. The appointed authority will exercise powers and duties of the Commissioners of Customs (Import) at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Mumbai. This notification, dated July 13, 2009, involves adjudicating issues raised by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Mumbai Zonal Unit.
