of <h1>Government Grants Excise Duty Exemption for Specific Intermediates in Drug Production Under Notification No. 10/93-C.E.</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 10/93-C.E. on February 28, 1993, granting full exemption from excise duty for specific intermediates used in the production of Centchroman, Chloramphenicol, and Pyrazinamide. This exemption, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, applies to goods listed in Chapters 28 and 29 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. The specified intermediates include Resorcinol, Para Hydroxy Benzole Acid, Beta Pyriladone Ethyl Chloride HCl, Anhydrous Stannic Chloride, Dry Tetrahydrofuran, Dry Dimethyl Sulphoxide, 10% Palladium on Charcoal, L-Base, and Diamino Malononitrile.
