It modifies the terms for clearances for home consumption or export to Bhutan or Nepal, increasing the financial thresholds from five and ten lakhs to fifteen lakhs. It specifies that exemptions do not apply if the total clearances exceed fifty lakhs in the previous financial year. The notification also requires manufacturers to declare expected clearances under fifty lakhs for continued exemption eligibility. Additional changes include the omission of paragraph 4 and adjustments to exemption applicability based on clearance history. The amendments take effect on April 1, 1993.
