of <h1>Central Government Revises Duty Rates on Engineering Plastics Under Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, Effective February 28, 1993.</h1> The Central Government amended Notification No. 133/86-C.E. under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, to revise the effective duty rates on specified engineering plastics. The amendments specify new ad valorem duty rates for various entries: 35% for entry 1, 25% for entries 2 to 6, 8, 9, 14, and 16, 20% for entries 7, 10, 12, 13, and 15, and 30% for entry 11. These changes are intended to align with public interest considerations, as authorized by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, effective from February 28, 1993.
