of <h1>Central Government Amends Notifications 36/93 & 38/93 Under Central Excises and Salt Act for Public Interest</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 36/93-C.E. and 38/93-C.E., both dated February 28, 1993, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. For Notification No. 36/93, the phrase '(other than those falling under Heading No. 68.04)' is removed. For Notification No. 38/93, the same phrase is omitted, and the wording is changed from 'more than 30% by weight (minus the water content)' to 'not less than 25% by weight.' These amendments are made in the public interest as per Notification No. 79/93-C.E., dated March 12, 1993.
