of <h1>Central Govt Amends Glassware Tariff to 15% Ad Valorem Under Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 52/86-Central Excises, dated February 10, 1986, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. This amendment, effective from May 4, 1993, pertains to the tariff on glass and glassware. Specifically, the entry in the table annexed to the original notification, against Serial No. 10 in column (4), is revised to substitute the existing entry with 'Fifteen per cent ad valorem.' This change is made in the public interest as per the powers conferred by the relevant legislation.
