of <h1>Central Government Amends Central Excises Notification: SSI Exemption Limits Revised to 20, 25, and 30 Lakhs Rupees</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 1/93-Central Excises, dated February 28, 1993, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. The amendment, effective from June 22, 1993, revises the limits for exemptions under the Small Scale Industries (SSI) scheme. Specifically, the exemption limits under sub-clauses (b) and (c) of clause (1) of paragraph 1 are now set at twenty lakhs and twenty-five lakhs rupees, respectively. Additionally, the limit under clause (2) of paragraph 1 is set at thirty lakhs rupees. These changes are made in the public interest.
