of <h1>Government Exempts Certain Goods from Full Excise Duty; Effective Duty Rate Set at 10% for Specific Items</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, has issued Notification No. 13/94-C.E. dated March 1, 1994, to exempt certain goods from the full duty of excise. This exemption applies to specified goods under sub-heading numbers 3701.10, 3702.10, 3701.20, and 3702.20 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. The specified goods, including all goods and unexposed cinematograph films in jumbo roll form, are subject to an effective duty rate of 10% ad valorem, reducing the excise duty beyond this rate.
