of <h1>Exemption from Excise Duty on Goods from Ship Dismantling Under Notification No. 45/94-C.E. for Public Interest.</h1> Notification No. 45/94-C.E., dated March 1, 1994, issued under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, grants an exemption from excise duty on goods and materials obtained from the dismantling of ships, boats, and other floating structures. This exemption applies to all items listed in the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985, as specified in the Schedule. The Central Government has determined that this exemption is necessary in the public interest, thereby waiving the entire excise duty that would otherwise be applicable to these goods.
