of <h1>Central Government Amends Excise Notification; Removes Provisos, Updates Table to '10% Ad Valorem' Effective March 1, 1994.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 452/86-Central Excises, originally issued on November 20, 1986, under the authority of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. These amendments, effective from March 1, 1994, involve changes to the wording in the notification, the removal of the first and second provisos, and the substitution of the entry in column (4) of the annexed Table with '10% ad valorem' against all serial numbers. These changes have been implemented in the public interest.
