of <h1>Government Exempts Rot Proofed, Laminated, Fire-Resistant Jute Products from Excise Duty Under Notification No. 92/94-C.E.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, has issued Notification No. 92/94-C.E. dated April 25, 1994, exempting rot proofed, laminated, and fire-resistant jute products from excise duty. This exemption applies to products classified under Chapters 53, 59, or 63 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985, provided that the excise duty on the unprocessed jute used in manufacturing these products has already been paid. This measure is deemed necessary in the public interest.
