of <h1>Govt Reduces Duty on Cement Clinkers to Rs. 185/Tonne and Pan Masala to 20% Ad Valorem per Notification 96/94-C.E.</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 96/94-C.E., dated April 25, 1994, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, to amend existing notifications in the public interest. The duty on cement clinkers has been reduced to Rs. 185 per tonne, and the duty on pan masala classified under Heading 2106.90 has been reduced to 20% ad valorem. These changes are reflected in amendments to previous notifications, specifically No. 7/92-Central Excises and No. 2/94-Central Excises, dated March 1, 1992, and March 1, 1994, respectively.
