of <h1>Government Rescinds Notification on Medical Equipment Under Section 5A of Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944</h1> The Central Government has rescinded Notification No. 116/88-Central Excises, dated March 1, 1988, concerning medical equipment. This decision was made under the authority of sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, as the government deemed it necessary for public interest. The rescission is formalized through Notification No. 112/94-C.E., dated June 3, 1994, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
