of <h1>Duty Rates Amended for Goods Under Chapters 5-96; Changes in Ad Valorem Rates as per Notifications 8/96 and 16/96.</h1> Notification No. 26/96-C.E., dated September 3, 1996, amends the effective rates of duty for specified goods under Chapters 5 to 96 as per Notification Nos. 8/96-C.E. and 16/96-C.E. The amendments include changes to the duty rates in the annexed tables. For Notification No. 8/96-C.E., several duty rates are increased from '25' to '30' and ad valorem rates are adjusted. For Notification No. 16/96-C.E., the ad valorem rate is changed to '12% ad valorem' for specific entries. These amendments take effect from September 4, 1996.
