of <h1>Customs and Central Excises Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988, effective July 1, excluding Sections 4, 5, 11, 12, 16.</h1> The Customs and Central Excises Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988, will come into effect on July 1, 1988, as per the powers granted under sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Act. This enforcement date applies to all provisions of the Act except for Sections 4, 5, 11, 12, and 16. This notification, identified as No. 18/88-C.E. (N.T.), was issued on June 29, 1988, by the Central Government, concerning Central Excise regulations that are non-tariff related.
