Delegation of administrative power: Collector authorised to investigate and adjudicate assigned central excise cases nationwide. The Central Board of Excise and Customs invests the Collector of Central Excise, Indore, with nationwide authority to investigate and adjudicate those cases as may be assigned to him by the Board, confining exercise of powers to matters specifically delegated for enforcement and decision-making under the Central Excise regime.
