of <h1>Central Excise Rules Amended: Kanigiri, Podili, Darsi Exclusions Removed; Cuddapah, Kurnool References Updated in Rule 2.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, has issued the Central Excise (1st Amendment) Rules, 1991. These amendments modify Rule 2 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. Specifically, in clause (ii), sub-clause (A), item (a) omits the exclusion of Kanigiri, Podili, and Darsi talukas of Ongole district. Additionally, in item (b), the reference to 'Cuddapah, Kurnool and Kanigiri, Podili, Darsi talukas of Ongole district' is changed to 'Cuddapah and Kurnool.' These amendments take effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
