of <h1>Central Board rescinds Director of NACE & N powers, reassigns authority to Collector of Central Excise, Hyderabad.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has rescinded the powers previously vested in the Director of NACE & N, Madras, which were initially assigned through Notification No. 13/94-Central Excises (N.T.) dated March 2, 1994. This decision, effective immediately, withdraws the authority of the Director of NACE & N, Madras, which was originally conferred under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, and the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in favor of the Collector of Central Excise, Hyderabad. The action is deemed necessary and in the public interest.
