of <h1>Notification Amends Excise Rules: Expands Tech Parks, Updates Goods Classification in Chapters 24, 27, 36, and 37</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 9/95-C.E. (N.T.) on March 16, 1995, amending a previous notification from May 20, 1994, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944. The amendments include substituting terms to 'Chapter or heading Nos. or sub-heading Nos.' and expanding the scope of 'Electronic Hardware Technology Park' to include 'Software Technology Parks.' A new table lists exempted goods under specific chapters and headings, including cigarettes, snuff, chewing tobacco, and fabrics of cotton and man-made fibers. These changes affect the classification and excise treatment of specified goods in Chapters 24, 27, 36, and 37.
