of <h1>New Invoice Requirements for Modvat: Rule 57GG Details & Pre-Authentication Process Effective August 1, 1995</h1> The notification issued on May 30, 1995, by the Central Board of Excise and Customs mandates specific details for invoices under Modvat as per rule 57GG of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. Invoices must include particulars listed in an annexure, use specified colors for copies, and have the first and last copies pre-authenticated by the jurisdictional Range Superintendent, except for computer-generated invoices. Invoices should be pre-printed with the issuer's details, including registration numbers and jurisdictional information. This notification becomes effective on August 1, 1995, and includes a detailed proforma for the issuance of invoices under rules 57G or 57T.
