of <h1>Amendment to Notification: Authentication Required for Job Work Challan Books Under Rule 57F, Terminology Updated</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs issued Notification No. 47/97-C.E. (N.T.) on September 1, 1997, amending a previous notification from August 31, 1996, regarding the movement of goods under Rule 57F of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. The amendment specifies that each foil of the job work challan book must be authenticated by a designated authority within the manufacturing unit before use. Additionally, a change in terminology within the annexure replaces 'have taken credit of the amount vide RG 23A/PLA entry' with 'have taken credit of the amount vide RG 23A entry.'
