This appointment empowers the Commissioner to handle adjudication duties for matters involving the Commissioner of Customs (Import) at both Chennai and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Nhava Sheva, Maharashtra. This is specifically for adjudicating issues related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a private company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, on January 22, 2009.
