<h1>Commissioner of Customs at Kandla Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority Under Customs Act for Mumbai Case</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 74/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs at Kandla as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company based in Mumbai. The notice, dated January 28, 2009, was issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad. The appointed Commissioner will exercise the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Customs (Import) in Mumbai for this purpose.
