of <h1>India Rescinds 2009 Safeguard Duty on Chinese Aluminium Imports Under Customs Tariff Act, 1975</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has rescinded Notification No. 26/2009-Customs, dated March 23, 2009. This notification had imposed a provisional safeguard duty on imports of Aluminium Flat Rolled Products and Aluminium Foil from the People's Republic of China. The rescission is executed under the powers granted by the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and related rules. The rescission does not affect actions taken or omitted under the previous notification before this change.
