of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: Jurisdiction Changes from Pune II to Kolhapur Under Section 129A(2)</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 53/2009-Customs (N.T.) amending the principal notification No. 49/2005-Customs (N.T.) dated 17th June 2005. This amendment, effective from 19th May 2009, involves changes in the jurisdiction of the Committees of two Commissioners of Central Excise for the purposes of Customs Section 129A(2). Specifically, in the notification's table, the jurisdiction previously listed as 'Pune II' is now replaced with 'Kolhapur' for Sl. No. 51 and 52 in the relevant columns.
