Constitution of committee of chief commissioners amended to substitute an area designation in the appeals notification framework. The Central Board of Excise and Customs amends the principal service tax notification by substituting the area name in the Table: the entry against the specified serial number in column (3) is replaced with a different area designation, thereby altering the administrative mapping used for constitution of the committee of chief commissioners handling appeals under the statutory appeals provision.
