This appointment is under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a specific company in Lucknow. The authority will exercise powers and discharge duties for the Commissioner of Customs at both the Inland Container Depot in Tughlakabad and the Air Cargo Exports at New Custom House near IGI Airport, New Delhi. This notice is dated May 6, 2009.
