of <h1>New IT SEZ in Ognaj, Ahmedabad recognized as Inland Container Depot under Section 7 of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Government has designated May 8, 2009, as the effective date for the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on information technology and IT-enabled services at Village Ognaj, Taluka Dascroi, District Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This SEZ, to be developed by a private construction company, will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, as per the powers granted by Section 53(2) of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
