of <h1>South Indian Education Society Approved for Research under Income-tax Act Section 35(1)(ii) Since April 2009</h1> The South Indian Education Society in Mumbai has been approved by the Central Government under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, effective from April 1, 2009, as an institution partly engaged in research activities. The approval requires the organization to utilize funds for scientific research, conduct research through faculty or students, maintain separate audited accounts for research funds, and submit audit reports and donation statements to the relevant tax authorities. The government reserves the right to withdraw approval if the organization fails to comply with these conditions or if its research activities are deemed non-genuine.
