of <h1>Special Economic Zone for IT Services Established in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Effective April 23, 2009, Under Section 7 of Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has designated April 23, 2009, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services at Village Tadakanapalli, Rural Kurnool, District Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. This SEZ, to be developed by a private company, is recognized as an Inland Container Depot under section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, in accordance with the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
