of <h1>Pharmaceuticals SEZ Established in 2009, Functioning as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has designated April 24, 2009, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the pharmaceuticals sector at Lingampally and Melasangam villages, Mandal Munipally, District Medak, Andhra Pradesh. This SEZ, developed by a major pharmaceutical company, will function as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
