of <h1>Govt amends Customs Notification to exempt gold concentrate imports for refining; updates rules for paper manufacturing imports.</h1> Notification No. 109/2001-Customs, dated October 23, 2001, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, amends a previous notification (No. 17/2001-Customs) to exempt gold concentrate imported by refineries for refining into gold from customs duties. Additionally, it modifies the entry for goods imported for use in manufacturing paper or paperboard. This amendment takes effect on October 24, 2001.
