of <h1>India Updates Customs Act to Grant Tariff Exemptions to UNIDO Under Notification No. 107/2001-Customs</h1> The Central Government of India, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification (No. 84/97-Customs) to include the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in the list of entities eligible for customs tariff exemptions. This amendment, issued on October 12, 2001, as Notification No. 107/2001-Customs, adds UNIDO as serial number 8 in the annexure of the original notification. The principal notification was initially published on November 11, 1997, and had been last amended on July 6, 2001.
