Commencement of scheduled provisions under the Jan Vishwas amendment for British India Corporation shares acquisition law. The Central Government has appointed the date of publication of the notification as the date on which the provisions at serial number 44 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 shall come into force in relation to the British India Corporation Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1981. The notification is issued under the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
