of <h1>Leather Sector SEZ in Tamil Nadu recognized as Inland Container Depot under Customs Act Section 7, effective February 20, 2009.</h1> The Central Government has designated February 20, 2009, as the effective date for the leather sector Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu industrial complex in Ranipet, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. This SEZ, developed by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, is recognized as an Inland Container Depot under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, as per the powers granted by Section 53(2) of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
