of <h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for Leather SEZ in Tamil Nadu Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on the leather sector at the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Industrial Complex in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. This committee, constituted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, comprises several ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau. Additionally, a representative from the developer, State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, is a special invitee.
