The Central Government, exercising powers under the Special Economic Zones Act and SEZ Rules, notifies a sector-specific Special Economic Zone for non-conventional energy including solar equipment at Kanksa, Panagarh, Burdwan, as proposed by M/s. Enfield Energy Limited; the government recorded satisfaction of statutory prerequisites and prior letter of approval, and notified specified survey plots aggregating 25 acres as the SEZ by S.O. 440(E) dated 10 February 2009.
