Special Economic Zone designation enables establishment of an IT/ITES sector zone at Adibatla under the SEZ Act. The Central Government, exercising powers under Section 4(1) of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and rule 8 of the SEZ Rules, 2006, notifies a specified parcel at Adibatla Village (Survey No. 255/Part; area 30.35175 hectares) as a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services, following a proposal and letter of approval granted to M/s. Tata Consultancy Services Limited under Section 3 of the Act.
