of <h1>Aligarh Development Authority designation under clause (46A) of section 10, specified income exempt from AY 2025-26, conditional retrospective</h1> Notification grants the status of an 'authority' for the purposes of clause (46A) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 to Aligarh Development Authority, thereby making its specified income eligible for exemption under that provision; this status is effective from assessment year 2025-26 and is expressly conditioned on the assessee continuing to be an authority constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 and having one or more of the purposes specified in sub-clause (a) of clause (46A) of section 10, with retrospective effect to the year of application as certified.
