of <h1>India Cuts Customs Duty on Poppy Seeds from 40% to 20% per Notification No. 11/2009-Customs</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 11/2009-Customs, amending the earlier Notification No. 21/2002-Customs. This amendment reduces the customs duty on poppy seeds from 40% to 20%. The decision, effective from February 3, 2009, is made under the authority granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
