of <h1>Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act 2025: sub-section (2) of section 1 appoints 1 October 2025 as commencement date</h1> By notification dated 23 October 2025, the State, acting under sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act, 2025 and on the Council's recommendation, appoints 1 October 2025 as the date on which clauses (ii) and (iii) of section 2, sections 3 to 5, and sections 7 to 15 of the Act shall come into force. The notification is issued by the Department of Excise and Taxation.
