of <h1>State updates GST rates for handcrafted and artisanal goods, setting SGST mostly 2.5% and some 1.5%, effective 22 Sept 2025</h1> The State Government amends a prior goods-and-services tax rate notification by replacing its table of goods with a new schedule listing various handcrafted, hand-made and artisanal products (e.g., candles, bags, carved wood, paper-mâché, textiles, stone/ceramic/metal artware, furniture, toys, paintings, sculptures and related items) with specified SGST rates-predominantly 2.5% and certain items at 1.5%-and sets the amendment to take effect on 22 September 2025.
