of <h1>Govt fixes GST rate at 9% by amending Notification No.37/ST-2 under Section 11(1, GST Act), effective 22 Sept 2025</h1> The State Government, exercising powers under section 11(1) of the applicable Goods and Services Tax Act and on the Council's recommendation, amends prior notification No.37/ST-2 (dated 30.06.2017) by substituting the entry in column (4) against serial number 1 with '9%'. The amendment is issued by the Excise and Taxation Department and takes effect on 22 September 2025, as set out in notification No.38/GST-2 dated 17 September 2025.
