of <h1>Customs Act Notification: Commissioner Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Jaiprakash Associates Case</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 11/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs (Export) at New Custom House, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice involving M/s Jaiprakash Associates Limited and others. The Commissioner will exercise powers over cases initially under the jurisdiction of the Commissioners of Customs at Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi, and New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai.
