The de-notification follows a proposal by the SEZ developer, state government approval, and recommendation by the Development Commissioner, with the de-notified parcels to be used for infrastructure serving the SEZ and conforming to state land-use/master-plan requirements. The action is taken under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and SEZ Rules, 2006.
