of <h1>Government notifies tax exemption under section 10(46A) for State Electricity Regulatory Commission from AY 2024-25 subject to conditions</h1> A central government notification grants tax exemption under section 10(46A) of the Income-tax Act to a state electricity regulatory commission, effective from assessment year 2024-25, subject to the commission continuing to be constituted under the Electricity Act, 2003 and fulfilling the specified purposes in clause 46A( a). The notification is issued under the government's statutory power and the explanatory memorandum certifies that no person is adversely affected by its retrospective operation.
